Leopard Spotted Goby

The Leopard Spotted Goby has a creamy yellow body with reddish brown blotches which gives it it's common name. It has a blunt head with large mouth and high set eyes.

This fish is extremely timid and requires a lot of suitable hideaways.

It lives in salt water and you will need a suitable coldwater marine tank. This fish is often found around the British coast and if you are a native Brit you can probably catch some free specimens for your tank.

The Goby can grow up to 12.5cm in length.

It is always found on the bottom of the tank and due to its shyness you will rarely see it in the open.

This is an omnivorous fish and will live happily on flakes, pellets or live food like worms.

It spawns in late spring. It appears to have a short life span, dying after spawning, but further observations are necessary to be sure of this.
